Halloween Sign Sizes: Choosing the Right Dimensions
Size is usually decided by guesswork, "medium" or "the same as last year", when it should be decided by viewing distance and location instead.
Standard Sizes from A4 to A0
Most commercial printers, us included, work across the standard A-size range for signage: A4 and A3 suit close-up, hand-height placement, a counter or till-point sign someone reads from a metre away. A2 and A1 step up to window and doorway signage, readable from across a pavement. A0 and custom oversized formats are for anything that needs to register from further back, a shop frontage, an event entrance, or a space where the sign is competing with a busy street for attention.
What Size Sign Do You Need for a Shop Window, Entrance or Event
The honest answer is: work backwards from viewing distance, not from what looks good on your screen. As a rough guide:

If in doubt, size up rather than down, an oversized sign at close range is a minor design issue; an undersized sign at distance simply doesn't get read.
